About Shouvik Chakraborty
I have completed my M.Phil and PhD program at the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning (CESP), Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi under the supervision of Prof. Prabhat Patnaik. My interests are mainly related to the broader economic fields of Macroeconomics and Political Economy. I am a critic of the free market economics. My research is mainly related to and draws inspiration from the school of Heterodox Economics. I am particularly concerned about poverty, employment, clean energy and development issues in the context of developing countries, especially India.
