ABOUT SHOUMIK LODH

Extremely passionate about optics and semiconductor industries, I strive to be an innovator in the field of engineering. I have graduated with my Masters in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Semiconductor, Optics and Photonics.Apart from pursuing my MS. degree at SMU, I have worked as a Research Assistant in the Optics and Photonics lab at my university on a DARPA research project. Hence, I have had experience working with various optical devices like lasers, photo-detectors, lenses, apertures, fiber optic cables etc. Apart from that I am proficient in MOSFET fabrication from a n-type Silicon wafer and processes like photoresist, lithography, oxidation, diffusion, etching and metallization. Thus, I have experience working inside a clean room and equipments like PECVD System, Sputter Deposition System, Oxide, Diffusion Furnaces, Ellipsometer, MTG mask aligner etc. I have a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering as well as a Diploma in Network Security and have skills in power systems, electromagnets and antennas, semiconductors and lasers. Moreover, I have experience in the Industrial Automation Field and in Power Plant Control and Operation through my internships at Rockwell Automation India and NTPC Thermal Power Plant respectively. My versatile areas of interests keeps me interested in any specific field of engineering I focus on. I enjoy sketching and painting, reading novels and watching movies in my free time, and I am always interested in research work, hearing about breakthroughs in the technological field, and creative positions having anything to do with technology.
