In my role as a trusted PR advisor to the business I work in a small team to:• Manage the Group’s reputation by maximising positive news and minimising negative impacts • Tell the Ecclesiastical story, increasing awareness of our unique purpose and how we’re building a movement for good • Deliver thought leadership and insight to demonstrate our expertise in our business nichesI am responsible for the charity, church, risk, claims and schemes portfolios and as such work with colleagues within those niches to create compelling, newsworthy content, to secure coverage in our target publications while aligning to our business objectives.As a team we have a strong focus on research and developing insight to help demonstrate that we understand our customers’ issues and provide expert solutions, while also securing PR coverage in the process. In the last year I have produced insight pieces on the impact of the pandemic on the charity sector, including stress and burnout affecting staff, and how churches have adapted as a result of the pandemic.Our team has worked to successfully raised the profile of Ecclesiastical as a business that is committed to building a movement for good by maximising PR coverage for our Group giving programmes, the Movement for Good awards and 12 Days of Giving while managing reputational issues such as the FCA Test Case into Business Interruption claims.
