ABOUT AMIN SHOKRI GAZAFROUDI

Currently, I work as Power Portfolio Strategy Expert at Uniper where I involving in portfolio management, cash flow projection and risk calculation of hedging activities in CWE, UK & NO power portfolios. Before that, I was innovation & project managers, respectively, which I was in charge of managing B2B projects regarding local energy & flexibility markets, energy communities and balancing groups, and drawing technology roadmap for ecosystem products in energy communities, local energy & flexibility markets, peer-to-peer (P2P) energy transactions, smart grids, smart homes, and electric vehicle (EV) charging strategies and coordinating R&D national and international projects. From October 2019 till December 2021, I was a postdoctoral researcher in power system & electricity market modelling at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Gaining sufficient experience in the field of electricity market & power system- hedging strategies in forward markets, local energy & flexibility markets, transmission and distribution networks, power markets, decentralized & distributed energy management systems, energy economics, and renewable energies- since 2011. Being expert at modeling the complexity of power markets considering uncertainty of renewable and distributed energy resources by stochastic programming and interval optimization methods. Proposing heuristic optimization solutions to transact energy through Microgrids’ market agents for upcoming smart grids. Enhanced team-work’s spirit, communication and networking skills through being involved in various projects in Germany, Spain, Portugal and Finland. Being ambitious for working in multi-disciplinary, goal-oriented, international and friendly environment.
