In this role I work as a Children’s football coach on a part-time basis, during weekends. I coach and mentor children from the ages of 18 months to 6 years olds. My Key responsibilities are- Planning lessons and executing the lesson plans- Performing risk assessments and ensuring I’m aware of health and safety- Providing feedback to the parents, and monitoring progression- Use of initiative and being able to tailor lessons suited to individual needs- Engaging in active sessions with children and building a positive relationship- Creating own ideas and reward systems to motivate children- Being highly energetic, fun, and bringing creativity- Promoting positive behaviour and acting as a role model- Effective use of lesson time- Providing excellent customer service and ensuring a rapport is built with children and parents- Strong communication skills – Being able to speak to children of different ages, as well as colleagues and parents- Admin duties – Conducting a register of attendees, conducting a head count, filing important documents and posting to head office at the end of each session- Working as a team leader, delegating tasks to other assistant coaches as well as fulfilling own duties
