ABOUT SHOAIB AHMED
Dr. Shoaib Ahmed completed his Ph.D. in Photovoltaics under Italy’s National Ph.D. Program in Photovoltaics at the Department of Information and Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics (DIEM), jointly offered by the University of Salerno and the University of Basilicata, Potenza, Italy. He holds an M.E. in Electrical Power Systems from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, and a B.E. in Electrical Power Engineering from Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology (QUEST), Nawabshah, Pakistan.Dr. Ahmed is currently serving as a Lecturer at Sukkur IBA University. He began his professional career in February 2013 as a Junior Engineer at Pak Oasis Industries (Pvt.) Ltd, Karachi, where he worked for three years. Subsequently, he transitioned to academia and served as a Lab Engineer and Lecturer at several universities in Karachi, including Indus University, Preston University, and Hamdard University.Dr. Ahmed has authored more than 40 research articles published in reputable national and international journals and conference proceedings. His research interests include electrical power distribution systems, renewable energy systems, distributed generation, and the integration of photovoltaics (PV), electric vehicles (EVs), and energy storage systems (ESSs) within microgrids and renewable energy communities.
