Led cross-team engineering initiatives as well as privacy feature designs (e.g. Texas project, data exchange architecture) for multiple tier 0 multi-IDC TikTok services (e.g. age service, download your data service, watch history service, kids mode) impacting billions of users with millions of QPS3. Led building three new compliance related tooling platforms from 0 to 1, led cross-functional team collaborations * The first is a data compliance platform to address risk for individual users responding to Law Enforcement requests and DSAR requests.* The second is a public portal (https://safety-enforcement.tiktok.com/) to do external request intake and processing, handling requests like DSA article 9 reporting and content moderation.* The third is a platform to address privacy incidents risks across TikTok teams.4. Led the development of data lineage and purpose limitation solutions for AI data governance * Led building a new universal data lineage platform with generic schema and graph-based APIs connecting AI data entities across online and offline data stores * Built AI data entity graph for AI governance by discovering AI data entities like model features, data samples as well as their relationship through online + offline data pipeline * Purpose limitation on Ads/Recommendation models and data flow across online/offline data stores
