ABOUT SHIYANI BALAKUMAR
I am an MPH Epidemiology student at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health who enjoys turning complex healthcare data into clear insights people can actually use. I am most interested in work that sits at the intersection of public health, research, and real-world decision-making, especially when the goal is improving patient outcomes.My experience includes working with large linked health datasets, building reproducible workflows in SAS and R, validating outputs, and translating results into reports and presentations for multidisciplinary teams. I have supported health system monitoring and reporting, contributed to evaluation-related work, and handled short-turnaround analyses for stakeholders.I also come from a biochemistry background and gained wet lab research experience during my undergraduate studies.
