Transformative Actions through Reformed Attitudes (TARA) is an organisation with an anti-patriarchal approach towards achieving gender equality. Our aim is to build a nurturing gender-equitablel environment in educational and workspace settings through activity based workshops, curriculums and creating content. Our two programmes Astitva and Taleem, former for adolescents (girls, boys, co-ed) and latter for individuals in workspaces employ all forms, from drama to sports, to create a critical dialogue within the self and in society about limiting potential due to gender bias. Often, one comprehends concepts such as gender empowerment, feminism, gender equality as confined to the world of women. In actuality, it refers to all genders alike since it harps on the idea that each and every person must be treated as humans, and not underestimated based on their gendered roles, societal stereotypes and expectations. Our Instagram page and the content we send out, constantly breaks these biases. We also create engaging handbooks for young parents on how to raise gender neutral children, talking to them about things that matter like puberty, romance and relationships.
