I am currently pursuing a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with a focus on structural and Mechanical design, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Led mechanical design of a DIY spa cover system by developing 3D CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks, applying DFM/DFA principles to enable low-cost fabrication and simplified end user assembly. • Performed thermal and structural validation of a closed cell PU insulated cover using ANSYS (FEA and thermal simulations), verifying heat retention performance and structural integrity under operational loads prior to design freeze. • Developed DIY ready assembly documentation including exploded views, BOMs, fastener specifications, and step by step instructions, enabling consistent replication by nontechnical users with minimal tooling. • Executed cost analysis and BOM optimization in Excel by comparing materials, standard hardware, and manufacturing methods, supporting informed tradeoffs between performance, manufacturability, and total system cost.
