Simulate and optimize hybrid powertrain systems implementing advanced component technologies to enhance fuel economy and system reliability while reducing customer operational costs for off-highway mine haul vehicles and meeting global GHG targets. Leverage modes of engine and battery operations to refine hybrid powertrain performance and achieve maximum benefits while driving. Support in developing and running control strategies that optimize power split between engine and battery, enhancing duty-cycle efficiency, route productivity, and fuel entitlement. Analyze simulation results and field test data to predict potential engine damage in an internal digital tool, ensuring extended vehicle lifespan. Select and apply appropriate engine and battery architecture and sizing for hybrid applications to ensure optimal performance. Conduct in-depth Design of Experiments (DOE) studies using MATLAB & Simulink to critically analyse the impact ofvarious architectures and configurations with system components like engine, battery etc, successfully delivering on stringentpowertrain emission requirements for diverse customer expectations and duty-cycles Optimise and implement innovative powertrain solutions along with proactive development and execution of verificationplans, monitoring performance to ensure robust system integration and reliability Ensure concepts of thermodynamics are applied and followed in the system simulations. Developing, simulating and field testing tunes for On Board Diagnostics (OBD) for the Model Year ‘27 RAM Cab Chassis (commercial pickup category) engine for early detection of field failures to meet emissions norms at all times
