I am an experienced tax professional specializing in domestic and international tax consulting, including transaction tax advisory. Now specializing in the financial services sector, I have been working in the direct tax practice of Big 4s in India for over 11 years, handling domestic and international tax issues of clients in various industries including financial services, real estate, energy and resources, media and entertainment, technology, digital cinema, automobile manufacturing, professional services, etc.I have advised clients on India entry-exit strategies, investment structuring, funding alternatives and tax efficient business models including review of business documents from a tax and exchange control standpoint. My work experience also includes assisting clients on M&A transactions while providing advise on tax and exchange control provisions, transaction taxes, agreement review, etc.I have also assisted clients on income-tax and withholding-tax litigation along with representing them before the tax and appellate authorities, resulting in large tax savings.I am a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and CPA Australia (AICPA). I have also received her Bachelors of Commerce (B.Com) from Mumbai University and I am a qualified Company Secretary.
