About Shivani Patel

I am a licensed Texas attorney (Dallas-Fort Worth area), currently working in Labor & Employment. I graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law with my J.D. in May 2020. In 2016, I graduated from the University of Georgia with an ABJ in Public Relations, a BA in Linguistics, and a Minor in Spanish. I have a wide variety of experiences during law school from externships to publication opportunities to leadership. I have had the opportunity to develop my professional skills and to learn about new areas. I have worked in areas ranging from litigation to privacy to compliance and ethics to contracts. I have also had the opportunity to work with my community through volunteering and clinic work. In my free time, I enjoy baking and reading (currently just trying to stay up-to-date with my weekly edition of the Economist). I speak a variety of languages and have traveled the world (backpacked Europe, traveled to Cuba, visited India, toured Australia, wandered around Thailand, etc.). I am hard-working, dedicated, and enthusiastic. I want to learn, and I am always looking for opportunities to challenge myself and grow. I want to grow as a lawyer, leader, and person.
