Part of the Second Level Permanent Control team, crucial to Société Générale Group’s Internal Control framework.Evaluating operating effectiveness of financial controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP) and regulatory requirements.Review of the framework of control design relating to Activity, Process, Risk and Controls (APRC) and Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) metrics for the key activities identified by Line of Defence 1 and suggest areas of improvements.Preparation of audit reports, agreement on the findings & periodic follow-up with auditees on the management action plans and monitoring the timely implementation.Coordinating with cross-functional teams, including accounting, regulatory, IT, internal/external auditors, and tax, while engaging with regional stakeholders across AMER, APAC, and EMEA regions.Performing reviews leveraging various digital tools like PowerBI, Alteryx, Spotfire thereby bringing visible improvements in the entire review process.Managed team performance, mentoring members, and facilitating professional growth.Conducted critical reviews on the financial controls within accounting and regulatory perimeter, including-Transfer Pricing computations for Net Banking Income (NBI) and costs-Account substantiation process to ensure the accounts are certified in lines with the account certification policy-Reconciliations between accounting records, inventory, and P&L including of intercompany reconciliation process-Consistency check between accounting and risk position for RWA computation-LCR, NSFR, Bank of England regulatory reporting for timely, accurate submissions.
