ABOUT SHIVAM JUMANI

I have over 7 years of experience working with government and philanthropic entities on a variety of economic development, urban planning, and climate action projects. At The Blended Finance Company, I focus on developing innovative finance solutions that mobilize capital for climate resilient and low-carbon investments in India\'s agriculture, WASH and healthcare sectors. Prior to joining TBFC, I was a project manager at Buro Happold, an international consulting firm, working with the New York City Economic Development Corporation to develop a strategy to grow NYC\'s green economy and ensure that the city\'s workforce is well-equipped to take on jobs in the growing climate-related businesses. I also led a project to assess the efficiency of a workforce development program to help low-income New Yorkers enter the film industry, sponsored by Bloomberg Philanthropies. Prior to that I worked on the New York State Governor\'s $300m Reimagine the Canals initiative to transform the historic Erie Canal in upstate New York into a driver for economic development and climate resilience. In 2023, I completed the Forefront Fellowship with the Urban Design Forum, which partnered with NYC’s Department of Sanitation to re-envision the city’s approach to waste management and implement circular waste practices.
