A medical device spin-out from the University of Oxford focused on using normothermic perfusion to change the way donor organs are preserved in the critical time between donation and transplantation-Design, definition and specification of complex active class medical devices and sub-assemblies-Selection and evaluation of new sensing technologies (temp, pressure, flow, biochemical)-Design, develop & evaluation of thermal, fluidic and gas electro-mechanical assemblies (CAD, CFD, heat transfer, flow simulations, feed-back algorithms, electronics, in-vitro testing with porcine & discarded human tissue)-Design, implement and carry out experimental test plans for electronic, mechanical orfluid components, sub-systems and of complete safety-critical systems to aid early evaluation of designs with respect to standardised testing (using Solidworks, C#,C++, Python, PyQt, PIC, STM32, Arduino)-Prototype early hardware, electronics and software systems-Develop internal software tools & automated test rigs for hardware integration evaluation-Support pre-clinical investigations-Drive, interface with and troubleshoot electronic devices-Work with UART, i2c, RS232/485, json protocols -Data processing and visualisation using Python (Matplotlib, Numpy and SciPy)-Developing verification test plans (per standards)-Definition and specification of single-use fluid management systems suitable forintegration into compliant medical devices-Support the generation of Product & software requirement specification & Risk mitigation -Comply with ISO 13485, IEC60601, ISO14971, DO-160-Creation of technical documentation required under the regulatory frameworks andstandards for medical devices in UK, Europe, Canada and the United States-Produce Technical Reports & presentation to a high standard -Work in a multi-disciplinary team (and across departments)-Work with outside research collaborations, suppliers and manufacturers-Work across a range of projects simultaneously
