Passionate cell & molecular biologist with a Ph.D from the National University of Ireland, Galway. I worked as a postdoctoral research associate at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru.I am a researcher with 14+ years of experience working in diverse research areas (cell & molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, genetic engineering, microscopy, proteins) in India & Ireland.My initial research focus was on understanding the biology of DNA damage signalling and repair in Mycobacterium tuberculosis and mammalian cells. With this research experience, I continued to research centrosome regulation in response to DNA damage and Primary cilia formation in mammalian cells during my Ph.D. at the centre for chromosome biology, NUIG, Ireland. Furthermore, as a postdoctoral fellow, my research was involved in exploring mechanisms in balancing DNA damage tolerance and homologous recombination in mammalian cells. During these years I have worked independently as well as in a team efficiently.As a researcher, I learned to design and execute experiments successfully in challenging and competitive projects. I was always result-oriented and productive throughout my research, leading to research publications.I was involved in teaching undergraduate, masters,medical and PhD students in laboratory skills as well as provided guidance in writing reports and presentationHobbies: listening to music, basic calligraphy, nature photography, travelling, watching tv shows and movies
