   As a SRE specializing in CDN and WAF services, the primary responsibility is to ensure 99.99% uptime for CDN services and web applications protected by WAF. This involves optimizing edge caching strategies, load balancing, and failover mechanisms while conducting performance tuning to minimize latency and enhance request processing efficiency.Develop, fine-tune, and deploy custom WAF rules to mitigate security threat vulnerabilities, bot attacks, and DDoS.Incident management and response are key responsibilities, Own the incident response process for security and availability issues. Implementing robust alerting and anomaly detection mechanisms using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and the ELK stack will help in proactive monitoring. For monitoring and observability, deploy and maintain end-to-end monitoring solutions for CDN and WAF services. Setting up real-time dashboards to track security events, request trends, and latency metrics will provide enhanced visibility into system performance. To measure success in this role, key performance indicators (KPIs) include maintaining 99.99% uptime, optimizing CDN/WAF performance to ensure sub-50ms response times, and improving threat mitigation by reducing false positives and negatives in WAF rule enforcement.
