ABOUT SHIV KOLHE
Trauma & Orthopaedic Resident and NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow based at James Cook University Hospital, affiliated with South Tees Academic Centre of Surgery (ACeS), University of York and Hull York Medical School. Alongside orthopaedic training, I am actively involved in clinical trials and data-driven research using national registries and routinely collected healthcare data, with a focus on trauma, young adult hip surgery, and lower limb arthroplasty. I’m also developing a parallel interest in orthopaedic sports medicine, currently working towards the FSEM DipMSK and FIFA Diploma, and actively seeking clinical opportunities in this area.Passionate about improving orthopaedic clinical exposure, opportunities, and education for medical students and junior doctors, and driving meaningful change through previous national leadership roles, including- BOA Education & Careers Committee- BHS Culture & Diversity Committee- BOTA National Committee- British Orthopaedic Medical Students Association (Co-Founder and Past-President of BOMSA UK [now BOMFA UK] aimed at improving T&O exposure and opportunities for medical students and FY docs nationwide)-
