Mayo College, founded in 1875 is one of the top rated residential schools in India, founded as the \"Eton of the East\". With the history of 150 years and a splendid campus of 187 acres, it is a jewel of Indian education system.A mark in the history of Mayo College was the resolution of Mayo College General Council to start a residential school exclusively for girls in 1987 with a separate campus of 46 acres. Further to this a day school in the name of Mayoor School was also setup by MCGC in 1980 as a parent school in Ajmer followed by a chain of collaboration schools in India and outside of India.
