About Shirley Xiao
Hello! My name is Shirley, and I convert complex ideas into simple, user-centered, and intuitive experiences. I\'m very comfortable leading big projects and dealing with ambiguity, and I care deeply about quality and craft. A laser attention to detail and an ability to bring people together are my superpowers.Coming from a Psychology and Interdisciplinary Studies background, I believe in designing with dual-empathy — that simple, intuitive, and effective design comes from aligning customer needs with the business goals of a company. Having worked in multiple start-ups and industries, I’m used to converting broad, conceptual ideas into simple, intuitive designs, collaborating closely with PMs and developers both directly and remotely, as well as meeting tight deadlines through rapid prototyping.
