How to build a good relationship with money is a question most people have in mind. As a financial professional, having a conversation with clients to determine their short term and long term goals, raise awareness, assess risk tolerance, and map out a manageable game plan are some of the main objectives. The Great Wall of China was not constructed overnight. It was first designed by a team of architects, then stacked brick by brick, month after month, and finally stood there through the test of time. A good road map and persistent discipline are of equal importance, partnering with an advisor who would spend quality time with clients at regular intervals, to update the course, manage unexpected events, and prepare for the future is an invaluable asset. Selecting the right partner is of grave importance and often would dictate the smoothness of the course. The diligence and attentions to detail as a former academic researcher; the ethics standard trained as a doctor; and the risk management experience as an insurance broker enables me to be provide guidance to clients to ensure their success and advancement.

ABOUT SHIRLEY W.

Once a nerd, always a nerd. As a former biotech research staff associate - I wear it proud. I was born and raised in a typical blue-collar family. Father was a technician, mother was an office admin. I went to college, then went to some more college, landed myself a beautiful job with amazing benefits at UCLA as a research associate. Unfortunately, for me, that career path was not fulfilling. I thrive on relationships, via communication, connection, commitment, and care. I need to work with people. So here I am, a financial advisor, reaching out to the research community, immigrant families, people of color, and female professionals – which coincidentally, are also the most overlooked and underserved people. But, this is not about me, this is about you - who could use a sounding board when it comes to life decisions that involves money - which it always does. This is about helping your kids pay for college without working out a sweat. This is about being able to purchase the dream house you deserve. This is about protecting your future, and get you to retirement with the 2 most valuable chips on the shoulder, INDEPENDENCE and DIGNITY.#financialliteracy #finances #shirley_diary_free #GreysAnatomy
