About Shirley Taylor

Shirley Taylor is the former Vice President, Global Chief Security and Safety Officer for Henry Schein. Henry Schein is the worlds largest provider of health care products and services to office-based dental and medical practitioners. In this role she oversees global security and safety operations for the company. Henry Schein is a $13 billion company with more than Team Schein Members and serves more than 1 million customers. The Company has operations or affiliates in 34 countries. She is the Executive Sponsor for the Global Diversity and Inclusion Council and Executive Advisor to the Black Legacy ProfessionalPrior to joining Henry Schein in December 2014, Ms. Taylor was the Senior Director and CSO for Carefusion. Prior to CareFusion, she was the Senior Manager of Safety and Global Security for Google Data Centers. Prior to Google, she was the Director of Security and Business Continuity Planning for PepsiCo’s Quaker Oats, Tropicana and Gatorade for seven years and served as the chairperson of the PepsiCo African American Network and Co-Chairperson of the PepsiCo African American Council. Ms. Taylor has also held senior positions as plant manager and supply chain operations for PepsiCo, A&P Tea Company, Campbell Soup, Nestle, Wendy’s International and Ethicon (a Johnson & Johnson company). Prior to her career in business, Ms. Taylor was commissioned in the U.S. Army as a Military Police Officer at Florida A&M University and she achieved the rank of Captain. She served as a Military Police Company Commander and Executive Officer with a Top Secret Clearance. Ms. Taylor served as the Physical Security Officer in Charge of the Underground Pentagon. She served in the military on active duty and in the reserves before being honorably discharged.Ms. Taylor graduated with honors from Florida A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. She also completed the Security Executive Program from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She sits on several executive security councils.
