I am a board certified, pediatric emergency medicine physician, author and lottery winner. As an author, I\'ve written my recently published book, Pressing My Luck as well as over 20 published articles & chapters in medical journals and books. In my memoir, Pressing My Luck, I share personal life experiences as well as the challenges and self-discoveries prompted by my Florida lottery windfall.As the former director of the Pediatric Emergency Department at Jackson Memorial Hospital and former Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, I have 30+ years of experience treating children with acute medical conditions and evaluating victims of child abuse. Despite my lottery windfall, I continue to work in the Pediatric Emergency Department and remain a voluntary faculty member of the Miller School of Medicine.
