ABOUT SHIRA LICHTENSTEIN
I graduated from The University of Chicago SSA program with Master of Arts in Social Work. In addition, I completed a Master’s program in psychology at The Chicago School for Professional Psychology, with a concentration in children and adolescents. I have completed several advance training courses in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) through Behavioral Tech. I also received advanced training through the Contextual Behavior Therapy Fellowship at the University of Chicago. My background includes working with families, schools, children and adolescents. I use a collaborative treatment approach and different behavioral therapies to help clients develop skills to live more effective and meaningful lives. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is at the core of supporting clients to reach their goals. I am passionate about mental health issues and strongly believes that given the right tools and resources, anyone can improve their mental health.
