Since childhood, I\'ve been fascinated by technology and how things work behind the scenes. This curiosity led me to pursue a career as a Software Engineer, but it was my growing interest in databases that truly shaped my professional journey. With 12+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA), I’ve developed deep expertise in managing mission-critical databases, specializing in Oracle technologies such as Data Guard, RAC, GoldenGate, Data Pump, and more.A significant part of my career has focused on cross-platform migrations—helping organizations seamlessly transition from legacy Oracle databases (such as Oracle 8i) to newer versions (like Oracle 12c) and even migrating Oracle databases to the cloud. I’ve successfully led migration projects from on-premise Oracle to AWS RDS, enabling businesses to take advantage of the scalability, reliability, and cost benefits of the cloud, while ensuring minimal disruption to operations.As the tech landscape evolved towards cloud computing, I embraced the shift and deepened my expertise in AWS Cloud. I\'ve earned multiple AWS certifications and have hands-on experience working with a range of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch. I’ve used tools like Terraform and Ansible to automate infrastructure deployment, streamline workflows, and ensure that cloud environments are optimized for both performance and cost efficiency.Python has become an integral part of my skill set, allowing me to develop scripts for data automation, system monitoring, and solving complex engineering challenges. I’m passionate about leveraging automation to drive efficiencies, whether it’s in database management, cloud infrastructure, or system administration.Raised by a father in the Indian Navy, discipline, flexibility, and determination are values I hold dear. These principles have guided me through every stage of my career and empowered me to embrace change, tackle complex challenges, and constantly strive for excellence.At Accenture, my eagerness to diversify my skill set earned me the “Multi-Skilled” tag, and I continue to invest in learning, including expanding my language skills—currently, I’m learning French to further broaden my global perspective.Whether it’s working with Oracle technologies, AWS Cloud, automation tools, or cross-platform database migrations, I thrive on solving complex problems, delivering scalable solutions, and continually pushing the boundaries of what technology can achieve.
