I lead the Experience Design team focused on last mile localisation for EMEA. My role is to make sure that designers and researchers have the environment and setup to do their most productive work and to keep them inspired, on track and focused. I make sure we are working on the right priorities - that our global product adapts to local needs - and we have alignment with our product design and business strategies. In a large software company, designing user experience is all about joining the dots. Another important aspect of the job is hiring the right people and getting the right balance of skills, experience and personality within the team. Designing scalable software solutions for global companies is extremely challenging and a lot of the work is cross team and domain. Experience design is the one pulling all the pieces together; my multi-disciplinary team work together, with the application of design thinking techniques, and I enjoy facilitating this. It\'s extremely satisfying knowing the outcome will be better as a result of collaboration with not only internal team, but our customers. The team is geographically and culturally diverse which is key to creativity and ensuring an international perspective is central to what we do.
