ABOUT SHILPA ROY
Advocate in Gauhati High Court. Completed Master of Laws with a specialization in Law of Crimes from Gauhati University. Also completed Bachelor of Laws from Gauhati University. I have also done a Bachelor\'s degree in Arts with English Literature as honors. Have a flair for writing, quite a few of my articles got published in various national newspapers and digital media. Accustomed to blogging, debating, anchoring, creative writing, legal drafting, legal writing and an avid reader. My dissertation is based on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act with special reference to Assam. I was also working with an NGO to teach orphan children as well as make them aware of their legal rights. Children are the most vulnerable section of the society and thus I believe they need extra attention.I have utilized the pandemic period to upgrade my skills: legal, analytical as well as communication. Completed a plenty of e-learning courses provided by Google, WHO, hp and also Ministry of Women and Child Development. Currently undergoing e-learning course \"CS50 for Lawyers\" from Harvard UniversityLegal skills include extensive case studies, fact finding, legal drafting, legal research, sale deeds, tenancy agreements, IPR, RTI filings, contract agreements, notice filings, MACT cases, PIL, Human Rights.
