ABOUT SHILPA CHATTERJEE
Experienced molecular biologist with over 7 years of experience in Dengue, Zika, SFTS, COVID-19, HIV, HBV, HCV, and other emerging infectious disease research. My work focuses on molecular characterization, clinical diagnosis, drug resistance, viral subtype analysis, QCM assay, in vitro cell-based assays, and in vivo models. I’m currently exploring HBV/HCV interactions, the natural history of hepatitis viruses, and developing assays to quantify latent and replication-competent viruse-aiming to support cure strategies for HBV. I also investigate disease pathogenesis, reactivation, and co-infections to advance biomarker discovery for functional cure research.
