About Shikhar Jain
Peace is not solely the absence of conflict but the ability to navigate and cope with challenges,\" quoted Mahatma Gandhi. Now, the question arises: How can we effectively achieve this? I am a firm believer in the power of soft skills to shape our personal and professional journeys. From my life experiences, I have cultivated a range of these skills that have had a profound impact on my growth and interactions with others. As a child, I may have been considered average in academics and sports, but I possessed a high emotional quotient. Growing up in a pious household, harmony and fairness have become core values and guiding principles in both my personal and professional life. My early aspirations led me on a five-year journey toward becoming a Chartered Accountant. However, after thorough introspection, I realized that the changing industry landscape rendered the pursuit less valuable. With determination and adaptability, I decided to redirect my efforts to a new adventure in the financial domain at the credit rating agency (CRA). My professional journey has been a witness to my growth, pushing me to new heights and imparting invaluable lessons in time management and prioritization. As a result, I have successfully maintained a turnaround time (TAT) of 15 days for each case, consistently executing 8-10 cases per month. Moreover, I actively sought opportunities to enhance team collaboration and interaction within my department. I advocated for increased team meetings and later industry update sharing was introduced. These initiatives not only improved team dynamics but also facilitated the expansion of knowledge. Beyond professional pursuits, I witnessed someone dear to me going through mental illness. Since I was young enough (age 15) to understand the behavior, it was handled by my family with professional help. While growing up I also supported the process. Through this experience, I realized the significance of mental health in life. It was during my role in a CRA that I discovered the concept of Ikigai and this revelation led me to realize that my true passions lie in financial risk management, market research, and risk analysis. As I continue my journey in the field of risk management, I remain committed to acquiring new skills, embracing challenges, and fostering a culture of growth. If you\'re interested in collaborating or discussing opportunities related to risk management, I would be delighted to connect with you. Let\'s make a difference together and create a harmonious and prosperous future.
