About Shikha Vasishta

I am a Doctoral Research Scholar in Political Science at Bennett University, India, and an alumna of the University of Delhi. My research explores reproductive rights in the Global South through the intersecting lenses of feminist legal theory, human rights, and postcolonial political thought, with a focus on how law, culture, biopolitics, and technology shape reproductive autonomy. With over twenty peer-reviewed publications and presentations at international forums such as SOAS–University of London, Keio University, and the University of Hawai‘i, I aim to bridge theory and praxis by centering the lived experiences of structurally marginalized communities and reimagining justice-oriented frameworks for reproductive futures.
