About Shikha Singh

Being an Intellectual Property Attorney (specialization-patent) with more than 11 years of experience has fueled my learning instincts a lot. As an enthusiastic and quick learner I will keep it going! After successfully completing my professional degree (B.Tech) in the field of Biotechnology from Maharishi Dayanand University, I joined this field. My analytical skills and in depth knowledge of the technology assisted me in achieving recognition in the field. Currently I am associated with India\'s top tier Intellectual Property (IP) law firm and have experience in (include but not limited to)- providing strategic counseling to inventors/applicants regarding drafting and filing of patent applications in the field of biotechnology, bio-pharmaceutical, biomedical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, petroleum technology, polymer, nanotechnology, pharmaceutical, genetic engineering etc- handling entire patent prosecution in India - handling foreign patent applications filed in countries like US, EP, JP etc- helping clients with their queries related to Indian Patent Procedures- conducting Patent searches i.e. Prior art Search, Novelty Search, Patentability Search, Freedom to Operate etc-supervising freshers in developing IP related skills. Additionally, I have procured a First Class Degree in Law and a certificate for practice as an advocate from Bar Council of India. I am a registered Patent Agent since 2017 and appear regularly before the Indian Patent Office. I have shared knowledge related to Intellectual Property as a speaker on events conducted by Consortium of Women Entrepreneurs of India (CWEI), THE INDUS ENTREPRENEURS (TIE), Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council, Technology Incubation and Entrepreneurship Development Society (TIEDS)-IIT Roorkee etc.
