Hi! I’m Shia Coughlin, a recent Psychology graduate with a minor in Biological Sciences from Florida State University.I’m currently pursuing my passion for cultural exchange and education as an English Language Assistant and tutor in Valencia, Spain. In this role, I am gaining experience working with students of all ages through creating individualized lesson plans, interactive small-group activities, and close collaboration with local teachers.At FSU, I was actively involved in Chi Omega and two honors societies, reflecting my dedication to both community and scholarship. My long-term goal is to enter the mental health field - a growing passion shaped by my academic and professional experiences.As a Research Assistant in a transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) lab, I gained hands-on experience applying psychological concepts to real-world research. My leadership roles with the Mental Health Council and 2-1-1 Big Bend further deepened my commitment to mental wellness, advocacy, and community support.I’m excited to continue learning, collaborating, and making a meaningful impact in the field of mental health.
