About Nidhi Shetty

I built a business from scratch as a finance student before I ever opened Figma & now, I design for millions at one of India’s biggest telcos. Here\'s how it went.My journey began with a degree in finance, where I developed a strong analytical foundation. Transitioning into entrepreneurship, I ran my own small business for over three years, gaining firsthand experience in understanding customer & business needs, managing operation and delivering value. Post-graduation, I embarked on a market research internship at Indigo Consulting, a Publicis Groupe company. My ability to decode user behavior and align it with business objectives quickly caught attention, leading to a transition into a full-time UX Designer role. I began by shadowing seasoned designers, learning on the job, and gradually took the lead on smaller projects like Aronix by Dr. Reddy\'s. Over time, I played a pivotal role in securing and delivering large-scale projects for clients such as Hinduja Hospital, Indepay, Future Generali, Kotak General Insurance, Tisva, and India First Life Insurance. Additionally, I led training sessions for UX interns, fostering the next generation of design talent.Today, I’m deployed at Vi (Vodafone Idea) through Lollypop Design Studio, working on their flagship app — a platform used by millions. I focus on prepaid recharges, a core business KPI, using design thinking, behavioral insights, data, and storytelling to create experiences that convert. CX Talent of the Year (2021) – Indigo Consulting Honourable Mention – DNA Paris Awards for the Vi App Certificate of Excellence – ViBeyond work, I collaborate with small businesses to sharpen their design direction, stay active in design events, and explore offline creativity to keep my thinking fresh and human.
