About Sheryl Stoller

Sheryl Stoller helps parents of young children who are \"more\". Together, she and the couples and individual parents she coaches, get to the unexpected hidden roots and needs underlying the child\'s behaviors and emotions. She enables parents to integrate their own insights, values & dreams with proven, research-based approaches & practical parenting tools, customizing them to nurture & empower their children & their whole family to thrive. Customized parenting approaches become the habitual 2nd nature default setting. Parents gain self-confidence, equilibrium, ease, and joy in parenting well. Couples collaborate from the same playbook, honoring each others\' strengths, covering each other as needed, acting in service of their shared goal/vision of what matters. Each parent becomes a leader the family chooses to follow. Single parents have a partner in the wings. Working with parents of young children, providing reliable, nonjudgmental & caring support, Sheryl addresses a wide spectrum of issues, with a special interest in parents who sense that something is different about their child. Often there are areas of giftedness and/or twice-exceptionalities that require nuanced perspectives to deal with the complexity. Parents, in working with Sheryl, learn and create new strategies and tools for areas such as: • Navigating intense emotions and feelings experienced by parent and by child • Preventing & addressing behavior & motivation challenges • Developing effective approaches when children and parents have different temperaments and communication styles • Overcoming obstacles when children have advanced and/or lagged learning and/or developmental ability differences relative to chronological age (2E) • Easing difficulties with transitions, big and small. Clients value Sheryl’s knowledge, warmth, thoughtful questions, & insightful observations. Her own parenting journey, including the challenges she & her husband experienced and overcame with their three children (sons 34, 31 and daughter 27), serves as a powerful source of inspiration, hope, and options, for clients. Sheryl maintains an active private practice, coaching parents one-on-one & as couples. She also leads interactive workshops and is a speaker for many types of establishments, customizing content to fit their needs. During the pandemic, she does this remotely. Specialties: Mental Fitness Coaching, Gifted, Twice-exceptional, Conscious Parenting, Mindfulness, Self-compassion, Self-spirit-care, Emotional Intelligence, Whole System Integration, Somatic Attachment Therapy.

Experience

  1. Parent Coach with Differently Wired Club

    Stoller Parent Coaching

    Jan 2021 — Present

Holding Space\" is the specialized role I provide in my group coaching with members of the Differently Wired Club. We each come to our time together with our individual nervous system being in the state it is in. Attuned to that in each person, I facilitate the co-creation of a safe time and place to offload, rest, digest, and refuel, as each needs, and when requested, sharing of ideas for options to try, that have worked, and might work. Members leave with their nervous systems more grounded, safe and social than when they arrived, and with a visceral/palpable knowing they can do this, knowing they are not alone, and can access the wisdom of members and leaders, again and again. The ripples continue at home, and in the support in the community conversations.
