About Sheryl McLean
Sheryl T. McLean is the President and Creative Director of McLean & Tircuit, an award-winning interior design firm specializing in high-end residential, multi-family housing, including senior living and hotels. McLean is an architectural designer who received her training and education from UCLA’s School of Architecture and Urban Planning and was the first Black woman to earn a Master’s Degree in Architecture at UCLA. She freelanced at leading architectural firms in California and Washington DC before founding her own firm in Maryland in 2003. Her aesthetic is influenced by the historic mansions of the French Quarter with intricate iron-laced balconies, to the open floor plans of California bungalows and the more formal Colonial style of the East Coast. She also draws inspiration from traveling the world, studying different cultural and architectural styles, from an earlier life as an International Flight Attendant.McLean & Tircuit is a certified, woman-owned, business and certified, minority business owner(MBE). Their national roster of projects includes custom, high-end homes, both new construction and renovation, contract and hospitality such as multi-family developments and corporate headquarters.
