ABOUT SHERWIN L.
Sherwin’s career started with Kiewit as an MSE Field Engineer in Sea to Sky Highway Improvement Project in BC. He then got transferred to 23rd Avenue project in Edmonton Alberta where he was given the role of an MSE Superintendent to train and supervise a crew of 4 personnel and a field Engineer during the early stages of construction. After training his crew and his field Engineer, Sherwin came back to Sea to Sky to finish the remainder of the retaining walls. Soon after he was assigned at Port Mann Highway 1 Improvement Project where he did Utility Engineering, MSE QA Inspector, Discipline (MSE Walls) QA Manager and Superintendent for both Walls, EPS and Closeout. Sherwin also did estimate on MSE Walls for the Turcot Project located in Montreal mostly during the first half of 2014 (A Billion dollar project won by Kiewit). He later got assigned at Enmax project in Calgary where he did help on closeouts (as-built documents). His last job with Kiewit were at K2 Mining where he did contract/planning/closeout Engineering. Sherwin worked for TAG Construction as a Superintendent specializing on utilities such as Hydro/TELUS/Shaw/Storm/Sanitary/Water services and road construction.M2K Construction, did Earthworks (cut/fills) for liner installation, built road access, and Methane Gas pipelines (HDPE) construction.GCL Contracting and Engineering INC: Flood Wall Structures which involves Cut Fill works/Road grading. Worked on Pump Station Structures from start to finish. All work completed per design and budget. Currently working for Beedie (Land Development). He manage day to day construction activities on multiple construction sites, supervising multiple sub contractors, and promoting company policies. Recently he was assigned to manage the onsite and offsite work at Parkwood in Delta BC. Some of the current highlights that he is and will continue to manage throughout this project are Preload Sand Placement, ESC field design/implementation, City/MOT Roadworks, 78th Street Interchange/Overpass, 2 kilometre worth of Storm/Sanitary/Water-main/Hydro/Telus/Shaw installation (offsite/onsite) works. Despite of all these past and present experiences, he is still eager to obtain more knowledge and responsibilities that he can add into his accomplishment in life!
