ABOUT SHERVIN AZAD

As a highly motivated and accomplished professional, I have built a successful career spanning over two decades in the field of physics, geophysics, and data science. With a Bachelor\'s degree in Physics and a Master\'s degree in Geophysics, I have extensive knowledge and experience in utilizing cutting-edge technologies to solve complex problems.My early career was focused on working in the oil and gas industry, where I gained valuable experience in reservoir characterization, imaging subsea, and signal processing techniques. During this time, I had the opportunity to work on various projects that utilized Neural Networks, which was the topic of my thesis in graduate school.After moving to Canada, I pursued 2nd Master\'s degree in Earth Sciences with a focus on mining, which led me to work for a company that leveraged the latest image-processing techniques to image subsea environments. My passion for data science and machine learning then led me to work for a startup that used AI for mining exploration. Starting as a Machine Learning Expert, I quickly progressed to Head of Applied Data Science and then to Director of Software Development.In my current role, I am responsible for leading the development of innovative software solutions that help our clients achieve their business goals. Through my leadership, we have successfully integrated data science and machine learning techniques into our software, resulting in significant improvements in the accuracy and efficiency of our models.I am proud to say that the startup I worked for was acquired by the biggest geochemistry lab in the world, which is a testament to the impact of our work. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence and a passion for leveraging technology to solve complex problems.
