ABOUT SHERRY BUMPUS-BARNETT
I am a graduate of the EdD program at South College. Training from this program included instructional design, models of teaching, instructional coaching, strategic leadership, effective communication, organizational behavior, learning and instruction, and applied research. I am also a three-time graduate of Western Governors University. I attained my degrees later in life after experiencing health limitations, including a hemorrhagic stroke. I am grateful for the support of my husband, my medical team, and my Creator. I strongly believe in attaining proper education regardless of age. Lifelong learning is important to me and my household.I have diverse experience in business settings. I enjoy helping people of all ages strive to succeed. Myexperience as an ASL interpreter has allowed me to work in various settings, including business, K-12education, secondary education, community, medical, and Information Technology. My experience working with students in K-12 and college settings has allowed me to encourage students to strive to reach successful goals in life. I have volunteered as an educator in various locations, including The Navajo Nation Reservation, Houston, Chicago, Pennsylvania, New York, Grenada, West Indies, Ecuador, South America, and Senegal, Africa. My travels have helped me succeed in communicating with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. I appreciate businesses that uphold ethical standards.
