Sherry A. Nielsen serves as Head of Legal – Labor & Employment for IHG® Hotels & Resorts in its Americas region covering the United States, Canada, Mexico, Latin America, and Caribbean. Sherry provides legal counsel, support and representation with respect to employment, human resources, and operational matters across various business units and functions, including managing litigation and supporting hotel development opportunities. Sherry also serves as IHG’s expert with respect to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) matters, in particular matters under Title of the ADA. She also manages compensation, benefits, immigration and labor issues for IHG. Sherry serves as legal advisor for IHG’s Americas Diversity & Inclusion Board, Ethics and Compliance Committee, Regional HR Leadership Team, Healthcare Governance Committee, and US Retirement Plan Committee. Sherry received her bachelor’s degree with honors from Emory University and received her Juris Doctor (JD) with honors from Emory University School of Law. Sherry resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
