The University of Tennessee Construction Science program is a concentration within the Environmental and Soil Science degree program in the Department of Biosystems Engineering and Soil Science. This course of study is designed to prepare students for entry into the very broad and diverse range of careers related to construction. As an Industry Instructor, I am charged with directing a junior level theory course discussing the vast changes of technology including BIM and VDC. By introducing students to the nation-wide trends of construction technology, they also begin to understand the implications of the changing environment for Designers, Contractors, Owners, and much more.
