Executive Director
Jul 2019 — Present · Berkeley, CA, US
Berkeley Community Scholars bridges the opportunity gaps for students who graduate from Berkeley High School who live in the lowest economic quartile and/or are the first to attend college in their family and/ or a part of an underrepresented group on college campuses. Through two scholarship programs, workshops; coaching and community mentoring and collaborations, we are able to serve more than 125 students a year. The BCS vision is to create a more equitable future for the students and have our entire community embody the spirit and values of true diversity so that our young adults can achieve their aspirations and become economically secure for themselves, their families and our community at large.
