About Sherri Jones

I initially aimed to be a project manager in tech, living in Silicon Valley and worked toward this goal with grit and determination. Along the way, I became involved in the John Lee Hooker Music Foundation, supporting arts and music education in underprivileged schools. I produced live music events, built relationships with record labels and corporate sponsors like Gibson Guitars, and became a certified grant writer.Due to cutbacks at my tech job, I was laid off, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Combining my strengths as a Project Manager and my experience with the non-profit, I am now focusing on becoming a Major Gift Giving Officer or Donor Relations Manager with a non-profit in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am also taking classes to be certified with a PMP certificate. As a Blues DJ at KZSU 90.1 Stanford University one evening a week, I bring music to my listeners worldwide. I love solving problems, working with teams, and completing projects ahead of schedule and under budget. I plan to continue my part-time work with the John Lee Hooker Foundation while seeking a Major Gift Giving Officer or related position, bringing pride, energy, knowledge, and determination to succeed.
