Sherrie Krowczyk-Mendoza is a Financial Services Risk Advisory Partner at Plante Moran, where she focuses on delivering risk advisory related services to her clients. She has over 30 years of experience in the financial institutions industry, including banks and credit unions. She oversees consulting services delivered including internal audit, loan review, regulatory compliance and IT risk services, as well as works with executive management and related boards and supervisory committees. Sherrie has been involved in all levels of responsibility and has experience with the development of the Business Risk Assessments, risk based internal audit execution, Board and Audit Committee/Supervisory Committee reporting, and consulting with institutions under consent orders, including corporate governance and management study projects. Sherrie has conducted a number of outside trainings and presentations including but not limited to speaking engagements for the Financial Management Society (FMS), the Illinois Bankers Association (IBA), the Wisconsin Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Community Bankers of Wisconsin (CBW) and the Wisconsin Institute of CPAs. Prior to joining Plante Moran, Sherrie worked in public accounting where she has focused on delivering risk advisory services to her clients, as well as in the internal audit department of a $1.5 billion bank holding company.
