Here you have a 22 year honorably discharged military veteran with a Secret clearance and 20 years of Project and Program management experience. People often ask me why was I interested in the military. Simple. Not only am I a mil dependent or \"military brat\", but I was also a JROTC member in High School, which kind of set the stage to what career I wanted to pursue. Serving my country was the greatest decision I could ever make.Now that I have retired, I am interested in pursuing new opportunities in the civilian world. I became interested in Project Management because the last few years in the military provided extensive experience within these areas as I managed large teams and large projects. What sets me apart from other PMs is I truly enjoy leading teams, building camaraderie, and helping individuals grow and develop. I bring value to whomever I work for as I am a forward thinking, progressive professional who can work both independently or within a team. My personality is laissez-faire as I get along with everyone. In addition, I am also leveraging exceptional communication, relationship building, and collaboration skills. Being a people person, I aim to learn from others as well as engage to assess their needs. I am highly inquisitive by nature, so I ask a ton of questions.In my free time, I am self teaching by taking professional development courses to up-skill and grow my technical skill set. I also coach youth in Football, Extreme Fitness, Soccer, and Basketball. I am pursuing a few certifications such as PMP, CompTIA Security+, CEH, MCSE, and Scrum Master.I am hoping to use my military background to move into either- Program Manager- Project Manager- Relationship Manager- Cybersecurity Analyst- Sr / Lead Systems Administrator- Technical PMMajor experience lies in strategizing and leading cross-functional teams to bring about fundamental change and improvement in strategy, process, and profitability – both as a leader and expert consultant.
