Tech lead for AI product development, directing the transition of Credo AI\'s product from low AI -> AI native.I also sit on Credo AI\'s internal AI governance council.We\'re leading the shift in AI GRC from traditional, rule-based workflows to scalable oversight empowered by agents. To support that vision, I lead design and implementation of the agentic platform that powers our product. My role has engineering and research flavors. On the engineering side, I spend a lot of time thinking about agent scalability and orchestration, context management, and MCP lifecycles. On the research side of the spectrum, I\'m trying to tackle evaluation and customization/personalization of governance agents.

ABOUT ELI SHERMAN
As a research scientist at Credo AI, I navigate a diverse range of responsibilities, from developing production code for AI-powered features on the Credo AI Platform to conducting fundamental research on AI governance. My current focus is on addressing the dual challenges of assessing and mitigating compounding risks in the AI value chain. Within the company, I collaborate with various functions, including product, design & engineering, policy & external affairs, and GTM. Externally, I engage with customers, prospects, and partners in the AI policy ecosystem.Before joining Credo AI, I earned my PhD in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University. My thesis presented several significant theoretical results in causal inference related to decision-making in non-iid settings and contributed to predicting clinical outcomes in cardiac surgery and mental health.
