VGH is the province\'s one of two accredited Level 1 Trauma Centers, along with UBC Hospital and GF Strong Rehab Centre, which serve as the province\'s main referral centers for complex cases. From trauma to stroke, cardiac care to transplant, cancer and more, VGH and UBC Hospital treat some of the most complex cases in BC, including 60% of all adult quaternary-level trauma care.
