Directly manages communications activities that promote, enhance and protect the organization’s reputation. Responsible for the development, integration and implementation of a broad range of communications activities including: social media, publication design, event planning, media relations and more. Specifically, write, design, edit and distribute communication pieces to Accredited Businesses and consumers, including newsletters, brochures, directories, flyers, posters and invitations. Promote organization through social media networks, such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Plan, coordinate and successfully carry out events, including the Eclipse Integrity Awards, attended by 500 area business leaders. Develop and carry out the aggressive media activities, which is inclusive of writing news releases, ghost-writing columns, writing advertising scripts, holding news conferences, successfully pitching news stories and conducting media interviews. Represent the organization during speeches to various community groups. Consult with and manage relationships with vendors who provide services to the organization, its Accredited Businesses and the public. Assist with staffing issues, such as interviewing, training and supervising. Consistently meet aggressive schedules on multiple projects, staying at or below budget.
