ABOUT SHERI ROTHMAN
I am a journalist turned content marketing and communications strategist who works with companies to build out their content marketing and internal & change communications campaigns to tell engaging brand stories, convey key messaging, increase engagement, and build authority. Throughout my versatile career, I have worked with global nonprofits, professional services firms, think tanks, trade associations, universities, and Fortune 500 companies, including The Conference Board, National Association of Corporate Directors, Xerox, KPMG, and City University of New York. Key accomplishments include: • Noticing a communications gap at a global think tank and filling it by creating a new short-form product line. RESULT: generated conference sponsorship sales that were 35% above target and a 25% increase in conference registrations. This product was the impetus for the organization’s new content marketing strategy. • Streamlining processes working as a managing editor. RESULT: Reducing production time for written content by more than 50%. • Creating and executing an internal communications strategy for employees at a global think tank during its change management process. RESULT: The new business strategy had a near 100% adoption rate. • Launching the brand voice and creating initial content for a sales enablement team at a Saas-based tech support platform. RESULT: Content helped the sales team land partnerships with Verizon, Marriott, and PwC. • Creating brochures and other communications for a university’s new video game design major. RESULT: Course enrolled filled in less than 24 hours. In addition, I create original long- and short-form content, including: newsletters, blogs, top-level summaries, web copy, video and podcast scripts, articles, white papers, case studies, and ghostwritten thought leadership. This content has been used for lead generation, sales enablement, member and customer outreach, internal communications, and change communications. With a background in journalism, my writing has appeared in Quartz, The Washington Post, The Fairfield Business Journal, the Silver Spring Gazette, Our Town, and numerous business trade publications. What Sets Me Apart:I see the big picture as well as the details. Then, I combine what I see from the two, to connect the dots and find patterns and common threads, which often provide insight into the root cause of a problem. In addition, I ask questions and use After Action Reviews to learn from past mistakes. Strenghfinders: Developer, Empathy, Individualization, Connectedness, Adaptability
