Through Snakes on a Plain, I offer industry working in southern Alberta environmental monitoring, pre-work planning, snake protection plans, on-site snake management, biological surveys, snake relocation, and rattlesnake safety and education. Please see more at snakesonaplain.ca I also currently work as a strategist with Alberta Health Services, helping to support medical first response by 300+ fire departments across Alberta. This leadership role bridges my communications experience with my EMS and fire experiences as a registered primary care paramedic and fully-trained level one and two firefighter. In the communications realm, my passion lies where land use (such as industry, recreation and agriculture) and conservation intersect. The conservation of Canada\'s remaining grasslands is at the heart of my work, and species like the pronghorn and the prairie rattlesnake are just a couple that I have written about extensively. I have broad experience in journalistic issues of international trade, emerging markets, sustainability, conservation, land management, and public relations. I have worked, or am currently working, with the following publications and organizations: Government of Canada Alberta Conservation Association Province of Alberta Canadian Agriculture Policy Institute Canada Beef Inc. Alberta Livestock and Meat Agency Canadian Cowboy Country Magazine Western Stock Growers\' Association Western Sportsman Magazine Alberta Outdoorsmen Magazine Southwest Advance Pincher Creek Echo Top Crop Magazine Western Hog Journal Alberta Beef Magazine National Cattle Feeders\' Association Alberta Cattle Feeders\' Association I have a niche skill set, and I am based out of one the most beautiful landscapes on the planet.
